6A Semi-Finals Today!

-- Walton (15-5) @ Roswell (15-3) - The Walton Raiders will be looking to avenge their regular season loss to the Hornets... Roswell prevailed 12-9 when the teams met in late April. The Roswell Hornets beat E. Coweta 14-6 in the 1st Round and took down defending champs Centennial 12-10 in the Quarterfinals. They have won 6 in a row since falling to Milton 8-12 on April 1, including wins over Walton, Mill Creek and Lassiter.

Walton bested Hillgrove 12-7 in the 1st Round, and the Raiders tood down Peachtree Ridge 12-7 on the road in the Quarters. Walton has strung together 5 wins in a row after they had unraveled a bit with losses to Hooch and Roswell a few weeks ago.

-- Lambert (16-4) @ Milton (18-2) - This is another rematch... Lambert won 13-11 on the road on March 18. The Longhorns easily handled N. Gwinnett 11-3 in the opening round, and they outlasted Harrison 8-7 on Friday. Lambert has won 6 in a row in which they've given up an average of 5.4 goals per game. During that run they topped Centennial 10-8... which is impressive given the Knights' high-powered offense. They also topped Torrey Pines (CA) 7-6 in OT at Legacy Cup.

The Eagles cruised past Kennesaw Mtn. in the opening round, but they were pushed to OT against Johns Creek before prevailing 13-12. Milton is on an 8 game winning streak since they fell 13-19 to St. Thomas Aquinas, a FL semi-finalist. Four of those were impressive OOS wins against Gulf Coast (FL), Jupiter (FL), Charlotte Latin (NC), and Memphis University (TN).

  1. If Lambert and Walton win tonight.. Lambert will host! How cool is that if you're a Longhorn Fan!!! but not looking ahead.. two great match ups... a toss up in each match as I see it. probably OT in one of them.
